Go to Walmart or member club stores like BJs wholesale club, Costco, or Sams club etc. Any of them that have an optical shop are open to the public by law. You do not have to be a member to use the optical shop AND you pay the same price that members do!

I would definitely recommend that you buy them online. They are going to be a much better price than if you buy them from a store. However, there are lots of websites that sell cheap knockoff special effect lenses, so it's very important that you order them from a reputable site. Look for FDA approved lenses so that you know that they are good quality lenses. My bf got a pair of lenses from CoastalContacts.com last year to go with his Darth Vader costume and they were good.

It just takes practice. When I first started wearing contacts it took me some time to adjust to the thought of touching my eye, but you will be able to do it in no-time.
The reaction to blink can be beaten by practicing putting eye drops in your eyes so that you learn not to automatically blink when you want to put something in your eye.
I would also recommend that you go back to your optometrist and ask then to teach you how to do it as they should not let you go home with them until you are able to do it yourself.

Okay I had this problem too this is what works for me:
1) Take a shower this relaxes you
2) Let the water hit your face and keep your eyes open. Your eyes will want to close but relax take deep breaths and eventually your eye muscles will relax and you’ll be able to keep em open.
3) Hope out of the shower and pop your contacts in. At this point your eye muscles are relaxed and you will blink less just breath deeply and you should get them in

I went twice to contact fittings and couldn’t get them on my 3rd time I tried this before I went and bam got em in in under 5 min! I now do this every morning (minus the keeping eyes open part cause my eyes are adjusted now) and can get them in no problem!

Remember:
1) Be relaxed
2) Breathe
3) Get those suckers in there!

Actually, the cheapest contacts are at Costco. However my insurance wants me to use Lens 1-2-3 http://www.lens123.com/

Try this (I do it all the time), Take your prescription by Costco, or call them if you don’t have a membership. Get their price. Then call the online people and negotiate. Usually I can get about $1 below the Costco price from an online retailer.

There is only one way…concentrate , and stop blinking.

It is a controllable reflex, difficult for some at first, but you can do it.

Maybe you should go back where you got them for another lesson, they obviously didn’t teach you well.

You really can’t get them less than 50-60 because FDA requires you to fax your prescription….making them cost more because of health laws/codes….bs

Your eye doctor may actually be able to get you the best price. Eye doctors often bundle a year’s supply of contacts with a year’s supply of solution – and it can end up being cheaper than a discount store or online.
